Education and critical thinking are the solution to combating environmental injustices

Our problem
In the modern world, we have millions and millions of satellites images, data about numerous important questions, like deforestation, hunger, and immigration. But have you ever stopped to think that even with all that available data and knowledge Ambiental Injustice and other problems still happens? So the problem is not the variety and quantity of information, but the lack of interpretation to find the best manner to use them in real life and combat those “Injustice Things”.
How can it be a solution?
That’s where our team comes in. Our proposal is to make people all around the world able to relate facts that are generally not so simple to relate. For example, how does a form of government influence the issue of deforestation? Or, why does in places with great environmental preservation, there is greater deforestation?
Many times we look at data of a situation and do not relate it to other requirements. Our idea is to open minds! Drawing people’s attention to less obvious relations, and thus try to understand the source of problems and how to act.

What is our differential?

We want our team to be the intermediary between the people's inquiries and those who have the tools to actually make political plans for problem-solving. Our goal, beyond opening people's minds to discussion through our fact-based interpretations, is to open a space to fuel discussion and create a system for complaints and denunciations. Thus, we, as an entity, the “Injustice Things”, gather data for political councils and throughout our social network to make a movement of manifestation in the media. Engaging young people to participate in these discussions, raise the flag against the environmental injustices, think about how to correlate data, and talk to each other, in addition to giving suggestions for local solutions.
We believe that the opinion of the greatest number of people must be heard and taken into account in local, regional, or global decisions to fight as “Injustice Things”!
